"I looked at the map in the truck, trying to memorize it now; hopefully i wouldn't have to walk around with it stuck in front of my nose all day. I stuffed evetything in my bag, slung the strap over my shoulder, an sucked in a huge breath. I can do this, I lied to myself feebly. No one was going to bite me. I finally exhaled and stepped out of the truck. (14).

I really like this quote. To me I feel the same way as bella feels when entering into a new crowed of people who you don’t even know. I believe that in one point in time we all lie to ourselves to hopefully boost our confidence and get our objective done, when we know that its not going to work anyways. So far this book has really kept my interest. Almost everything that Isabella does or thinks about situations, I can relate that to my life and how I felt in the same position. Isabella is a girl who moved from Phoenix, Arizona to a small town called Forks which is located in the northern most part in the US. Right off the bat she dislikes the place because of the towns depressing and gloomy state due to the constant cloudy skies and rain. On her first day of school she is very nervous but already finds the guy who she has a crush on. His name is Edward Cullen and the weird thing about him is that he has pitch black colored eyes and when Bella gets hit by a car he saves her, but leaves shoulder and hand dents in to the van and Isabella notices it. It makes me wonder if Edward has some type of super strength or is Bella just seeing things after being hit by the car?
